They had their own battle to save their own country as I rightly recall. Can't be everywhere at the one time! The Japs chucked a spanner in the works and fighting two enemies is a daunting task! We at least we only had the Japs to worry about. The return of the soldiers from the ME were then sent to New Guinea, to help our Chockos. The Yanks in part saved our skin!
The Yanks left the British high and dry at the out break and only came into the war after Pearl Harbour and that was more or less as an after thought! Plus they bled the British dry with their lend lease policy, re armaments. Friends like that you don't need!
If the Yanks hadn't had their isolationist policy and had entered the war earlier it would have been over much sooner and many more lives would not have been lost!
