added a small Solar panel system 2 years ago.. I worked out that solar only benefits  from the power you use... so  my small 1,5 kw makes 6-8 kw a day .. I use 5 kw during the time it makes it so minimal to the grid...
Solar benefits those that use power during the day.. Most householders with BIG systems get 6c a KW yet pay 33c or more for what they use in SA. People need to think latterally.  Why would an energy company that makes money out of selling electricity be interested in saving you money,, Its because they will make more in the long run....
