I'm sure there are lot of them. A current, but almost defunct, iron ore stock reeked of a paid poster. Not only sang the praises of the company, and mngmnt. but would criticize any and all opposing views to his. I got "sucked" in, and moderated/suspended many a time when replying to his "posts'.
This was to be his, and his kids life changing stock. No sign of him at all now, anywhere on HC since the S.P. hit all time lows!
Most likely be one or more of these (posters) on any ASX stock.
He was even "asked" by other posters if he had any affiliation with the company, which of course he denied.
I feel he was definitely paid to post, just as your thread refers to!
