I think you are being very naive if you think the consequence was not to hit these people,
Shorten knows like Gillard most older folk vote Libs,getwiser as get older.
As Gillard said they will never vote for us so who give a rats arse.
One thing we do know --it will not effect 1 politicain, or Govt union employee, along with tax free unions.
This is a greater con than C/C attacking the most vulnerable is the ALP, Greens best strategy!!
Workers, have evaporated from the union base 8% steam rolling the other 92%,
