You are 100% right RoE. You have to wonder why they didn't do it then? I keep coming back to English not wanting to be diluted (main reason) as well as management having the head in the sand and being inept (secondary reason).
It would be great to see stub equity (unlisted equity) as an option in the Next deal. That would be a slam dunk deal. But sadly, only the guy that has presided over this mess (and his buddies), gets that deal. I would love to see all shareholders rally to vote this current proposal down and demand stub equity. Unfortunately there are no funds with a meaningful stake to force the issue.
