We have become numb to large numbers. When millions, billions, trillions are spoken about as if they can be repaid by breakfast tomorrow, to say that the NBN will ONLY cost 50 billion or possibly 90 billion, is something/nothing. All that matters is we all have a new toy. To measure it in squadrons of brand new jets, bullet-trains, NDISs or hospitals just seems like you are a killjoy. Can't we have it all?
