I'd venture a guess and say that at least half of the Australian population are politically ignorant and/or apathetic.
The advertisement is misleading in numerous ways, but in a campaign to retain what is, imo, a failed government, they can hardly say, "Under the coalition you will get fast speeds, have to pay extra for super fast, and will have less debt." Not nearly fear mongering enough. I'm almost surprised that Labor didn't go with, "The Coalition will stifle your children's education through slower internet." The, "think of the children", routine has been appearing a fair bit under Labor.
