What is the CAPEX for a conventional oil refinery?
The CAPEX for LNC’s CTL plant is in the latest broker report from BBY.
How much is the operating costs for a conventional oil refinery? Oil is currently about US$141 per barrel at the moment, so that would be one element of the the operating cost of a conventional oil refinery, then there would be the energy to refine the oil. The operating cost for LNC’s CTL production facility is estimated to be US$25 a barrel for ultra clean deisel, which sells for a 10% premium to the cost of oil. That would make it worth about US$155 per barrel right now.
