Crosby wouldn't have a clue.

Crosby would be certainly pleased to hear that there is someone out there truly believing he has scientific credibility, but hardly any scientist or technical expert who has worked with Crosby would agree with that.

There are various degrees of overlap between facts-based reality and perception. Some people are masters of manipulating perceptions, no matter how remote from reality, until facts catch up with them.

Your assessment of Crosby's business skills are accurate because they are based on facts. The scientific credibility bit is pure perception.
