I realise that there are some countries in the EU where reimbursement is possible, hence why I said, "... money has to come out of the consumer's pocket in most cases." The US on the other hand provides a single market overseen by the one Medicare system which makes things a lot easier and for the initial stages, a lot more prosperous to focus on the US.
