The problem with nominee accounts is that they lack transparency.

A company I worked for tried to establish the owners of nominee accounts . The trail led to Monaco and beyond.

In the end ,the nominee holder turned out to be a major competitor, only revealed when another major competitor launched a takeover bid.

I actually got it wrong . I found out that the nominee holder was not the party which made the takeover offer.

If Xstrata or any other party were to hold a substantial stake in CuDeco, shareholders should know. It should not be concealed under the guise of a nominee account.
