The $5.5b offer equates to an sc6 price of $1600/t, current price = $4150/t so there is room still for an improved offer but Albermarle will want to see some profit if they take it to mine and prices continue to fall. $3 offer values ltr at $6.7b = $2000/t which many are tipping as a longterm price. Calcs are rough and imo.
