Crows,
Pardon my ramblings re drill figures. Just got it into my head that an off-shore well would cost 120m but I think that was probably for 2 wells. So if 60m for off-shore then I would say then that 30m for on-shore would be reasonable And as you say, maybe as low as 10-15m.
When you quote TPT's well at 30m is that the TOTAL cost of the well or just TPT's share? 30m total cost in my view is on the cheap side of drilling off-shore rigs at those depths. I stand to be corrected however.
Yes I have invested in oilers before, mainly shale oil/gas projects in the US. Their wells at these depths on shore usually come in at 10-12 million, that is with a ****load of water, sand and propellants included. They do have access to very good infrastructure, service companies and equipment etc and a favorable tax and royalties regime, Africa would be a different ball game {at this point in time} in terms of access, rig availability and distance etc.
I would guess that in East Africa at this point in time, a drill at these depths on shore would be above 12m. Maybe 20m at a high guess then,
Anyway, GLTAH
Looking for a re-entry after selling at 29.5.
