    Buy a PPOR if you want somewhere to live.
    If you want long, long term yield to supplement your income when you are old by in low socio bracket areas, like Elizabeth in SA or Corio in Geelong.
    If you have no hand skills, and under $300k to invest better off learning share trading or managed funds.

    The holy grail is investing in development sites. Yes Australia is big but everybody wants to live close to facilities and in WA close to the beach because it is so hot. Governments are filling in all the gaps, urban renewal, rezonings new roads.
    Using leverage and other peoples money plus your own top up, you can make great returns in the next 10 years.
    Buying ahead of a trend you can turn $100k into $500k in maybe 5 - 10 years.
    Heres a story guy buys 10 acres near spud shed in Baldivis WA wants peace and quiet, Now new freeway entrance road built, land rezoned urban, $500k an acre thats 6 million dollars in 20 years.
