Malaga…your figures can't be taken as overall…..at the end of the boom my 5x2 in warnbro was worth about 470,000. now worth about 440000…..close to the warnbro railway station. Houses in Coolongup, at the end of the boom you would be lucky to find one less than 310,000. you can get them less than 300,000 now. Any priced 400,000 as you quoted…. a and it will sit there for a long long time. Woodbridge Coolongup over the road yes in the 400,000's but down on the end of the boom. You stated 310,000 and now 400,000. ????? you tell me where in Rocky a 310,000 has gone to 400,000. I came here in 1974 and also had there investment homes so well aware af the market. My wifes mother passed away april 2013 and only managed to put the home on the market in january this year. had three quotes all quoted….lowest 335 highest 375 ……all told to expect about the 345,000. This was in Richmond gardens …..loverly area……chose a rep and got offerers from 295 - 330,000. Because after 2 months it was hard on the misses, being her mothers home she took the 330,000. You mentioned how much rent one would have paid but did not mention how much payments, rates, sewage rates, rubbish, Fire levy insurance ,stamp duty etc added up to and over that time only a small amount would have been paid off t,he capital costs. And a plug….Rockingham and Warnbro, Absolutly heaven and low prices…..where you are be surrounded by four beaches fronts, and only 45k,s from the city centre with a Railway and freeway…..Luvit, 1.2 kilometre walk to Warnbro sound and once there walk left or right and soak up the pleasures of life.
