camcot - I don't know but this is what I think - the deal was voted on at AEC's AGM on 17 Sept. We don't know the outcome, but one can safely assume (because of AB's involvement in all 3 coys - AEC, Delminco & MKY) it's pretty much a done deal. The main item, as I see it, in this deal agreeing the "payment to Delminco for the tenements" i.e. valuation

Next step - run past ASX for their approval - with reporting season currently underway (heaps of AR's clogging the system) could be delaying

After that - deal can be announced, but MKY shareholders have to agree to terms and conditions at their next AGM.

Once again, AB is major shareholder of MKY

Last year's MKY AGM was 28/11/07

Current market conditions could be delaying announcement - hard to pick a good day - but I'm guessing days not weeks
