It's funny how a bad project can change reputations. Simon Milroy was highly regarded by his peers, fund managers, etc. before the Murchison stuff up. But being too ambitious caught him out; he tried to get it off the ground too quickly. I am willing to give him another chance and think he has learnt his lessons but not sure the market is as forgiving.
