Well I finally surrender. That's it for me after waiting 8 months for a result. I am out of this stock. There are better opportunities.

In any takeover, it is the acquirer that needs the acquiree badly. That's why they make a bid for it. So in 99.99% of the time, the acquirer bend over backwards and will do almost anything to get the company. But in this case, it seems the opposite applies. The management for whatever reason has bend over backwards and more to get Hanlong to acquire SDL and at a giveaway price whilst Hanlong have failed to meet the agreed timelines and conditions.

Some has suggested they need the permits first. But why do they need Hanlong to get the permits unless the govts in Africa has told them we will only give them to you only if it is Hanlong. If this is the case should not have management said so?
