I agree with you, I think of HC as a location where to use the analogy; we can all press our face against the shop window and see what is happening inside the store.

We can listen to all conversations being conducted inside and hear the ANN's as they occur.

Sort of like our dearly beloved and eminently discrete real life spies "ASIO", the guardians of our life liberty and Australian way of life.

We can see sentiment change, to positive or negative, in the blink of an eye and we can obtain (rarely) pearls of wisdome from people like psi81, et al.

HC cannot survive without people posting, sometimes personalities have certain priorities, that are not always beneficial to the posters in HC, but by and large the moderators (those like Tweets that are reasonable and fair at least) do a good job of weeding out trouble makers.
