AI commented that his experience as a post grad was one of the reasons he was not holding ctp which is his right of course, however Rafish has every right to point out that there is a geo working for ctp who might have finished his post grad some time ago and has since expanded his credentials quite a bit since then and is maybe a little bit more qualified than AI. I don't consider Rafish was playing the man as such, I think he was (quite rightly) pointing out that the company has resources a little more significant than a post grad who is giving his *expert* geo advice.
