Kalimera astavrou - where would we be without olive oil?
I go through about 4 litres a month as I have now learnt to bake cakes with it as well as well as use plenty in my bread
I use it instead of butter in most dishes and I find it is one of nature's great medicines and tastiest condiments
I was reading about the lifestyle on the Greek Islands and they seem to have a longevity well above the average and it was based on the food they eat (or better still the rubbish food they DONT eat) and the low stress nature of island life.
Not only do they live for a long time - but also a happy time - which is just as important.
