Yeah we almost drink it imstead of water! Too much of a good stuff is never enough! it's the base of the famous Mediterranean diet, that supposingly protects the cardiac health etc.
In retail shops (S/M etc) costs around 4 euros (A$6) to 7 euros (A$11) for extra quality (per litre or per 1/4 gallon) but near the producing areas (almost everywhere in rural Greece) you can find it for 3 Euros in 17 litres (4.5 gallons) tin canisters.
I heard that you Aussies have planted too many olives in VIC and NSW and start using the liquid gold, is it true?
