ok , im gonna start with pasting annoucement from the 11/12,
"G8 Education Limited is pleased to announce that it has increased its dividend from 12 cents per share per annum to 14 cents per share per annum. Dividends are paid quarterly and as a consequence, the quarterly dividend will increase from 3.0 cents per share to 3.5 cents per share, fully franked."
so keep in mind their dividen stability is 100%, so we can expect divvys grossing upto 14c for 2014,which equates to 42million dollars.(14c times shares on issue about 300million, gives us 42m)
now i refer you to annoucement back on the 13/12 ,
"G8 Education Limited would like to confirm that the company’s dividend payout ratio remains unchanged at 65% of Net Profit After Tax. This payout ratio is based on the cash paid out for dividends after taking into account the Dividend Reinvestment Plan."
this is were it gets interesting , so 42 million is 65% of npat ,then we get npat $64.6 million ,for 2014,
now 4 brokers consensus npat for 2014 is 50m ,
so we have a 14.6 million difference ,
keep in mind the annoucement by g8 on the 11/12 and 13/12 did reafirm that divvy will be 14c for 2014 and the divvy payout ratio is 65% of NPAT,which gives us $64.6 million npat, which is about 14 million more then forecast,
its about 21 cps for 2014 ,
so tell me who is right and incorrect here? has the brokers got it wrong? has Chris Scott been to rich with his divvy payouts?
Or is my post simply futile?
keep in mind all divvys are no more then 65% of npat, were expecting 14c in 2014 , which gives us 40.2m in divvys and 64.6 million npat......
is it time for the brokers to run their rule over the financials once again?
g8 has 130million in the bank ,and all buy outs have been finalised ,so 2013 has been a neat year for them..
its time for recurring revenue, leading to recurring profits..
