For a long time, general wisdom was 5% to 10% of your
portfolio should be in precious metals but...............
Guys like Soros and Paulson are in for about 40%, the University of Texas endowment in for a billion dollars worth from total assets of 19 billion so roughly 5%.
I wish I had a definitive answer but I don't. All I can say is when billionaires go in 40% of their total assets, something big is going to happen.
