    The American Heart Association recommends men limit added sugar to 36 g, or 9 tsp., per day and that women limit added sugar to 24 g, or 6 tsp., per day. It's also listed here:

    There is also an Australian book written by David Gillespie (a Lawyer by profession) called "Sweet Poison"(why sugar makes us fat). The author lost about 40 kilos without exercise by simply cutting out his daily sugar intake. He went on to write another two books on the subject on how to quit the addiction.
