how much water required for geothermal

Sorry I'm being a bit lazy here (not researching), but I saw an article on TV the other day about coal power costs going up (estimated 100%) in response to increasing cost of water. Coal stations are needing to bring in recycled water, and they churn through a lot of it, as it's vaporised back into atmosphere. Will Geothermal energy suffer from same problem, how much water escapes - or does it get sealed in / is re-used. I can't see why re-using the water would be any more possible than doing the same in a coal power scenario (which apparently doesn't do this). Anyone know how water prices might affect ongoing costs?
