With a SMSF in pension mode (no tax), and which does not include property trusts with delayed tax stmts, you can have the details ready ahead of time by 30th June, and email to accountant as soon as receive June bank interest. I sent my data to acct first week of july and had return completed and lodged in about 10 days, and the refund of franking credits was banked on 29th July. So the 6 cent franking credit for the March payment follows like another mini dividend only 4 months after the cash dividend.(Includes i/c's for earlier half as well) Very nice. Point: One would expect the ex div drop to be much nearer to 20c than 14 - all other things being equal - which they never are :
