supposing a promising report from schlumberger on the woodford and caney shales (predicted to provide around 40-50 trillion cubic feet) across the usa, and now with methods in place for getting to these big gas reserves, what will 12.5% of 30,000 acres prospectively be worth to THK?
they have waited a long long long time to get their hands onto some real money, and whilst 12.5% interest does not seem a lot, devon are really pumping lots into shale and the oklahoma area... i don't think they will be deserting any time soon.
this pipeline (http://charlotte.bizjournals.com/houston/stories/2006/11/13/daily2.html) will also provide a means to get the gas from the woodford and caney plays whereas before, infrastructure was going to inhibit the amount they could produce per day...
any thoughts appreciated..
