It's an interesting question as I have been pondering that for one of my stocks JVG. I suppose it depends on your definition of a spec stock. JVG has a market cap of 14 million so obviously very small, however it's now profitable so it's far less risky then say a mining exploration company. Is a company still a spec stock if it's profitable? What are the criteria?
