In fact getting the pig to market, is bloody difficult.

That's part of the reason I'm turning to BDG in a big way. It's an overlooked, little discussed stock that's about to blossom in a big way. But, in terms of mistakes THEY have been there done that. They almost imploded as they turned from explorer to producer 3 years ago. But they have come out the other side, a lot better, a lot leaner, and a lot more production savvy than most goldies who still have no production experience.
With BDG its one step at a time - no more wild JORC estimates. They just continue to dig up the shiny stuff, and prove they have what it takes.

snapshot below is pretty healthy for someone who just trial mines from one of a dozen reefs -

*40,000 ounces of gold for calendar 2009
*positive cashflow in the December quarter of $2 million on revenue of $11 million (9189 ounces of gold at an average selling price of $1189 an ounce).
    *market capitalisation of $102 million.
    *$45 million (9¢ a share)held in cash.
A $200million, 600,000 tonne a-year treatment plant sits on the surface ready to take what the deep reefs can deliver. On 2009 plans, it will be ticking over at 25 per cent capacity.
*water, power, transport, labour are not an issue.
