I went to the pharmacy at work, to take up their offer of two months of nicotine patches, free of charge to employees.
A couple of years ago, I'd tried unsuccessfully to give up smoking using the patches, but I found that the patches wouldn't stick back onto the skin after removing them for my evening shower.
I'd applied them after my morning shower, and worn them all day.
When I mentioned this problem to the pharmacist, she freaked out, and said "you shower twice a day ???".
Yes I said!!
I can't go without having a shower after work, and then again before I go to work in the morning.
After lying in bed all night, I feel dirty in the morning, and I feel the need to be clean and smelling fresh, especially as I work in health, and have contact with the public all day, as well as my workmates.
I thought that everyone did the same!
What I'm asking is, am I a freak for being too clean?
