With Brent pushing up again worth revisiting this above analysis. Every $1/bbl over $70 adds US$10.8 or A$15m of margin to Karoon. Most analysts are still pricing Karoon at Brent closer to $50/bbl so are way behind the curve.
The move in oil has been so dramatic (below), the sell side analyst community will have to be revising upwards their projections in the 2H and post next Monday’s results.
