I don't really know exactly what strategy shorters follow - I'm not one of them! All I do is buy cheap shares when no one else is interested in them and go long. Trying to speculate on a financial institution is risky business at the moment, but I think buying into an Aussie bank and holding long term is a reasonably justifiable thing to do. Good income stock in my opinion.
