IMO - it's not as much that the court has failed ----------- it's the US system that has failed and it's had 'fail waiting to happen' written all over it for years
the mere clearly obvious point of them full accepting AND being proud of the fact that they can load their Supreme court with politically biased members ---- either 'democrat supporters or republican supporters'
is the most ridiculous idea that anyone could think of -
the US is 'supposed to be' run by powers of
Legislative
Executive
Judicial
and they are supposed to be separate
but, the USA is loud and proud that their politicians can 'stack the court'
wtf?
it was only time before one president backed up by a set of other morons - selected a biased set of morons to serve on the court (for life, believe it or not)
All the ingredients for a train crash to happen were in place - all just waiting for a time and place to coincide
