These are the serious economic discussion we need to be having. But good luck on Hot Copper!!! Before the day is out Grace Tame will be called a communist.

For mine the mining sector being 96% foreign owned is the prime example, after all you can only did it up once. After all those mining booms can you imagine the services and infrastructure that could have paid for. The foundations for the future it could have built, the tax reductions and services it could have paid for for quiet Australians. I am also of the opinion we have given trickle down economics decades to prove the promise of its ideology, which it has not. Certain sectors and services should never be handed over to trickle down economics for the few to generate profits and supply second rate services to the rest. Taking the best of both is the future, you can plainly see the successful countries not blinkered to one system and willing to hybridize.

The notion of Aus becoming a Communist or socialist country is profound absurdity but some on here see communism in the USA and readily confuse dictatorship with socialism. We have a long way to go but as the McCarthyism indoctrinated die out and the youth can never afford to own a home and get exploited by tech capitalist giants and the gig economy. Trust me peak capitalism concerns them far more than some dictator who died in a foreign country a century ago.
