Fair point, but i think you underestimate the power of 6 billion people plus and all their machines. yes we won't die out from climate change but we may see a Massive population drop wars food shortage and more, no one is claiming the earth will self combust or anything..
Did you know lowly bacteria changed earths climate massively making it possible for us to exist? It took them a while but they did it...
Humans are much much much more powerful than bacteria by the way and can control everything on earth.. bacteria, plants and animals atmosphere the lot! we can transform entire ecosystems in a matter of years, we can burn cut down entire forests, deplete oceans, make whole species extinct etc we can do all this in a much shorter time than it took bacteria to change the world and the thing is we can chose what we do, we can think about our actions.
To say we can't have much of an effect if a serous under estimation of our power, climate change doesn't happen over night..

CAGW has been totally and utterly confused with overpopulation
In a theoretical world of just 1 million people, the population can burn all the oil, coal and wood they want, destroy forests, kill off all flora and fauna and then move to a new location and wash, rinse & repeat without any long term consequences for the earth whatsoever
