Jopo I give you the medal for dealing with R2D2. I'm an applied scientist and I've been on survey collecting data for the last year and had completely forgotten about R2D2 and his Goebbels like ranting. But unbelievably its still going. The green knight was nothing compared to this guy.
All the ECS TCS estimates are still coming down and they still haven't factored clouds to any acceptable degree of accuracy and yet they remain the most significant variable.
Its basic. At 1.5deg C plus or minus probably 40%.......who cares.
Last time I asked R2D2 the following questions he frothed at the mouth:
1) Is El Nino/La Nina the most significant variable of globally measured temp anomalies - Yes or No
2) Provide an objective measure that any recent El Ninos (say 98 and 16) are more extreme than any of those in the past 70,000 years
