40 years ago it was global cooling caused by humans, and those who did not believe climate cooling were called science deniers.

Over a 100 years ago their was speculation of the greenhouse effect as it was observed the earth was warming,
But then then their theories quietly died because lower temperatures were observed nullifying the previously perceived trend of global warming.
