    "After all, Iran’s constitution decisively forbids foreign troops stationed on national soil. The Majlis – Iranian parliament – would never approve such a move barring an extreme case, as in the follow-up to a US military attack."

    Setting up foreign military bases in Iran would take time and waiting for a US military attack might be too late. Iranians need to think this through considering their economy is already under attack via sanctions.
