nowhere did I say that God 'colludes' with Satan, that's just what you heard because that's what you've been conditioned to hear by the watchtower society.
It's more a case of "And we know that in ALL things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Saying that God couldn't use Satan's rebellion to his own purposes is like saying he couldn't use YOUR rebellion, it's just nonsense.
"When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.”
Of course that's the dodgy Watchtower Bible version, the real verse is :
" When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; 14 but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed. 15 Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death."
Pretty self-explanatory.

OK, I can see where he lied to Eve but where is it written that that's when he became the Devil (a devil? You mean there's more than one?)

:) Oh I don't know, I reckon that would've settled it pretty conclusively.

And yet he still 'deceives the whole world' and the whole world still worships the beast, except for the JW's of course. :)
