I asked yesterday if the French company who closed Hazelwood power station was back in France claiming carbon offsets/credits for the plant closure. This IMO could be the big unspoken green killer of Hazelwood that hurt us at the hip pocket.
Companies are here to make a profit and IMO it appears that green energy carbon reduction schemes are making the closure of old coal fired generators a profitable exercise at the expense of the end user.
Mainly state governments have failed the people by not providing an enviroment where electricity costs track CPI.
So all this subsidising of renewables yet the price of power is still going through the roof. Sounds like another scam on the people for pigs at the trough.
