Of the many morals than can be drawn,

the most apt one probably concerns the necessity of warfare to defeat enemies that would threaten the freedoms, values and lifestyle we hold to be of value.

Negotiations sometimes will be sufficient, but even then they usually have to be backed up the the real threat of force to be effective.

Peacenicks have their day too, but not so often.
