gunns is trying to raise capital to get the bell bay pulp mill venture off the ground as far as I can see they could do it in four ways *borrow from banks *issue bonds *get a joint venture partner *sell shares in the company via a rights issue or a placement
the wilderness society are doing their best to destroy gunns and anybody who invests in the company so far we know that they have tried stop efforts to raise capital in europe via an advertising campaign the company needs about $1.5bn to get this pulp mill up and running the company has 662m shares when the was at a $1 they might have been able to raise $264m maybe say with a 1 for 2 at say 80c the lower the price goes the less capital they will be able to raise Judging from the large number of thumbs up for negative low content post here I'd say we are definately seeing a campaign to keep the share price down. the lower the price the harder it will be gunns to raise capital I would say that this is exactly what the down rampers on this forum are hoping to do. this is all part of a well organised campaign to restrict gunns from raising capital and destroy the company.
