I didn't want to continue posting my views on this stock but since noob aka nbbirch assumed the worst about me, i couldn't resist.

Ok first things first Boofy,Probably best you first figure out the difference between price and value as well as maybe hitting the books for a few years and then coming back and learning the techniques that's required to successful investing "Long term" and not trying to be a millionaire over night like some on hotcopper or maybe in your case your happy with punting/gambling.Two different things.Value should be independent of what the market thinks.Remember the market on most occasions is irrational.

People assume somebody knows something when the shares go up and vice versa. You honestly think that the value is something someone is willing to pay today lol..It doesn't necessarily mean that if someone is prepared to pay such and such that represents the intrinsic value today or the next few years. This should be applied over a 4-5 year period for good quality businesses with earnings and assessing past performance and combining this with future profit projections of the company moving forward and companies without earnings and management who continue to spin s*#@ you might as well go to the casino and try your luck there and in ssn case nobody can be more than 80-90 % certain that this company will be profitable in the next few years as most companies i.e. management will spend hours and hours preparing a report or presentation that is focused on nothing but "SPIN" as well as the rosy future about that specific company. Now i'm saying "Most" and not all companies do this.

Noob aka nbbirch you are a joke.Firstly you don't need to convince me of how the market values shares, i have my own little formula that doesn't need approval from anyone on hotcopper and has been tested over a long period of time with good success and most of all independent of what the market thinks about a certain company.Your telling me something i already know with regards to future earnings potential and profit. This is something that's already in my formula; but noob u see, i invest large portions into companies that have a track record of success and not pie in the skies that are hard to predict type stocks.

I've made a considerable amount in fx over a 5 year period and 90% certain about what the currency pairs will do during a major news event.Problem is i've been banned everywhere as fx brokers don't want my business as it's a loss in their books but no need to yap on about this i just wanted to add that the extra cash has enabled me to invest more in quality listed companies on the asx "Longer Term".

Now noob aka nbbirch, Does it really matter what i think? i'm just one person with one view and have little influence on the day to day movement in markets. You don't need to convince me of anything; you need to convince the muppets who continue to post every seconds and minutes on this company via the threads noob.By the way what are the profit forecasts for this company, has management indicated or given the market guidance with regards to e.p.s and dividends? have you asked all the brokers their valuations on ssn and where they think this company is headed. Is anybody covering this stock? I would love to see if they recommend a buy, sell or hold and what their reasons are for this. What sort of r.o.e are we expecting this or next year?

Now noob nor you hotcopper or anybody with characters beside their name influence my decision making.I have a lot of money to play with and one thing for sure is my decisions are based on my own research and not that of hotcopper and any other forum noob.. Just a bit of a tip for you on on hotcopper. My experience on this forum has led me into believing that the most talked about stocks are often filled with day traders and punters who are all trying to buy and sell for a few bucks and go onto ramping the stock and giving their explanation as to how wonderful the company is.Nothing wrong with this method but just be mindful that the fund managers, institutional investors and the like won't be taking this company to seriously i.e. investing your super or any of that nature 1.Because there's no track record of past performance i.e No base to start with except a land sale and 4.8% royalty, which is conditional and in the due diligence stage and if the past is a reflection of the future then probably work out how long it takes management to burn the cash. 2. No reasonable and sensible valuation for the future and purely based on i.e. 90% guess work.So relating this back to my methods of valuation then this can't be valued even if i were to guess i'd be way off which means guess what "noob"? I can't properly value the shares... So i don't buy it 3.Nothing but hope and praying that someone buys the shares at a higher price. The main players in ssn are your bread and milk traders who call day trading a job lol...Again if you don't have the big boys investing in this and holding long term or any stock for that matter then the price becomes artificial and only pushed as far as the day traders want to push it and play pass the parcel. If they get bored and see liquidity is drying up they move on.So you see noob most guesses about this companies future is just that i.e. "Guessing" and in no way, shape or form can be certain about anything in relation to ssn's future.

By the way noob are you one of those who monitor what the dow is doing nightly and are you one of the muppets selling because the dow takes a hit.If you can sleep well at night holding ssn and predicting the future of ssn then no need to worry about what i think in relation to ssn.

Noob ..Bhp have a good track record of earnings and growth over the years and retained earnings is used sensibly which shows managements understanding of the difference between retaining the cash and paying out a dividend.I currently have an intrinsic value at around $40 odd for this company. There's no need to give me lectures on how to value companies with earnings.Noob,I've made some good profit over a number of years in the stock market, so probably best you worry about yourself first and stick to your own methods and if its working for you noob than that's great.

I want to some up and say that whoever started this thread was either dreaming or not realistic about this company i.e. " how this stock can be worth a $1.50 in 5 years.".Lets work on 10 cents first..Maybe the thread should read " Will ssn report a take home to the super market profit to investors anytime soon and what are the chances of maintaining that profit well into the future.Or maybe how long will it take management to raise new capital i.e. knock on the door and ask for some more funds.

Noob If you make profits from trading this then well done.If 100% or the majority of your holding is in this company then you better hope management report something that is of value to holders and the company moving forward and part of this is related back to the profitability of this company moving forward.Noob time will tell if your still around in 10 years.

    Good luck "Noob"
