It did cross my mind, I just failed to mention it I did the rough calculation, say 10 years paying $5000 pa in tax, then 30 years at the very least of $15000 in tax is around half a million so now its payback time...say roughly 20 years with a $20,000 pension I might get $400,000 back with my newly acquired attitude in the past I believed and was quite happy for my tax money to pay for roads, schools, health etc
but this rotten mob is wasting it...hence the new attitude
some are in the camps, most get rocketed to the top of the housing lists, or we pay for the motel rooms, plus the $10,000 worth of goods they get, we pay for smokes, alcohol and drugs, cash of around $200 a week after food and everything else is picked up on our tab...free internet, electricity etc ask any pensioner how they feel, when they get a miserly amount, and have to pay for all those costs, within that tiny budget just imagine if most of the 450,000 self funded semi retirees, people like myself, suddenly revolted, and lined up for a full on pension.....
ps I just pulled that number out of the air....I have no idea how many self funded retirees are out there
double ps, the way I am feeling, I doubt I will last another 25 years...so there is some consolation for you
