The concern about how they plan on dealing with contango holds me back from loading up. USL in the NYSE previously spread their roll over over a one year period rather than month to month, unlike USO in the NYSE.
The last thing you need is to participate in the downside and not the upside.
I would suggest comparing USO in the NYSE on google finance with a chart of the WTI for the period after the GFC.
