Explained it in a post a few months back. Try tweaking 1 variable ie area in sqkms & thkness in metres & the volume changes. This is txtbook calc. IN the real world one uses a monte-carlo simualtion package that can chuck out P1 to P99 estimates based on changes in variables. Obvious fit is P50 or Mean or 2C as high confidence data is collated.

FYI, try this calculation.

6.29 * 50kms*20m * 20% poro * 70% OS* 75% OS * 30% RecFac

Once u get thro that, add multiple rows & change the area from 50 to 80, 100, 120, 150kms & netpay from 10, 15, 20, 25, 30m, Keep porosity as 20-25%, OS 50-60-70, RecFac- 20-30%.

Once field is developed RecFac increases with water injectors & gass inj wells that simply flush the oil out, but to begin with 30% is acceptable recovery.
