I am on the NABtrade platform and hold a parcel of these worthless shares. I generated a capital gain earlier this year and the only value these pointless shares now have to me is to assist me in reducing my taxable income by way of offsetting this capital gain. I'm therefore trying to sell these shares. I initiated a trade in NABtrade but it's rejected the sell.

Does anyone know how to get rid of these shares? Can it even be done?

Why has the ATO not declared them worthless and thereby allowing investors to realise a capital loss? It's futile hanging onto these, they were dead in the water years ago.
