I think this is a bit different as it deals with a massive player - Shopify - who has to be careful they don't act like a monopoly, in case they are considered one. They have to make sure they are not abusing their power.
Antitrust laws are designed to promote fair competition and prevent monopolies or other practices that could harm consumers or limit market entry. If a player is so large that it could limit consumer choices, they can get caught up in antitrust laws. Like what is happening here.
Small companies can also get caught up in antitrust laws but usually by colluding with others to fix prices and the like.
In this case Shopify is so large it has to be careful it's not abusing its own power. Sezzle is trying to prove that it has/is.
