Commsec won't even if you already have an ASX trading account. I asked the questions multiple ways and got similar answers:

I have an international trading account in a trust and instead of setting up an individual account I had decided on Friday arvo to just buy the equivalent of my holding in SEZL prior to selling SZL. 54% increase on open in the US scuppered that though.
